Born and raised on Florida’s Gulf Coast. As a young boy, Anthony wrote essays and stories and typed a neighbourhood newspaper on a 1946 Smith-Corona Clipper typewriter given to him by his grandmother. He was an Eagle Scout and a lifeguard in his teen years. After graduating high school, he attended college, majoring in English before changing his major to Criminology, and went on to take a master’s degree in Criminal Justice and Emergency Management. He followed in his father’s footsteps to became a third-generation police officer, serving twenty-nine years in Florida and in Texas, as well as working part time at the local community college as an adjunct professor. Having produced research papers and police reports during his career, he fulfilled his continuing desire to write, after retirement, by turning to fiction, primarily crime dramas, science fiction and American style horror. He lives in rural Texas with his wife on a ranch, whimsically named 3D Ranch in acknowledgement of their three daughters, three dogs and three ducks.
